About
Originally from Australia, Sarah lives and works as an artist within the Western Isles of Scotland. She studied painting (BFA) at Wimbledon University (UAL), London.
As a landscape painter I am particularly concerned with what is now known as the Anthropocene Epoch*, and more specifically how this relates to the rural environment. This encompasses issues such as climate, agriculture & biodiversity, isolation, migration, loss of habitat & species decline, coastal & ocean pollution.
* an unofficial unit of geologic time, used to describe the most recent period in Earth’s history when human activity started to have a significant impact on the planet's ecosystems, geology & climate.
